You know the ones. Eyes half-closed. Butt. A blur as they leave the frame. The “cute” shot that is actually just the couch.
You did not fail as a photographer. Your cat failed as a client. They will not sit. They will not look at the camera. They will not wear the tiny hat. A real shoot is $300–$800, three hours, and a cat who has decided today is not the day.
So you keep the phone photos. You post the least-bad one. You tell yourself it’s fine.
It is not fine. You live with a ridiculous animal and you have almost no pictures that look like how you see them.
